Eviction

Whilst at Leeds Festival this weekend i had the weirdest adventure eva. I had a really great time. I really enjoyed watching the futureheads and bloc party and the GO Team were absolutley amazing! theyre defo my top tip. But last night..!

A big crowd went past my tent and they looked like they were havin fun blowing whistles shout and singing so i joined them wit m bongo and after about 2 mins i was pinned by a security guard then taken outside, told i was facing 5 years for ensighting a riot then taken to a tent where i had to sign sumin. I was then dropped off in the middle of nowhere, with no money and a dead battery on my phone. it was dark and cold and i had no idea where i was. Just a bit dangerous. I was told if wanted to get back to the car park i should walk to a village that was jus down the road (it was about 2 miles) then turn left. I got the village and no sign of a left turn, they turned out to b wrong directions so I asked a policeman and he showed me another way on a map he had, he was quite sympathetic. That was wrong too, i had been gone for about 2hrs at this point and ant and nat etc had no idea where i was, i was dead worried about that cos i was facing spending the night in the carpark so i was askin all passers by if i cud use their phone.
I met these guys; tom, dan and john, they were gettin in a taxi so they let me in to get back to the main road where u turn off for all the carparks, so we got there, still not sure wot i was gonna do when i got there. we walked thru the field to the woods where ripped the biggest hole in my jeans on sum barbed wire. when we finally reached the orange gate there werent any security guards as on the other gates, jus stuards so we begged them to let us in without wristbands. i was caught at about 12.30 and i got back about 4.30
I admit that it was a stupid thing to do but it was not worthy of being dropped in the middle of nowhere. It was like being on Crimewatch! I was scared.

Ireland

Wow how amazing is Ireland. I just got back on Sunday from ten days in Ireland. We spent 4 days in the west near Castle Bar then drove to the north near Nurie (not sure of the spelling). We stayed near Maireads Grandad, Con, he was an absolute legend. evrytime we went in the morning he wud offer us some clear whisky that was made from potatoes and was sumin like 70%. Then he wud made us tea which was ace, he'd boil big spuds in their skins and serve em with the best bacon and cabbage or turnips, all freshly picked. bloody amazing. truely good food.
Ireland is an absolutley beautiful country jus so quiet and peaceful and the scenery is breathtaking, better than the lakes.

Diagonally thinking

OK finished HP and THBP on sat night after a week of staying up and none stop reading (I'm a slow reader OK) I was so depressed on Sunday. It wasn't just the alleged dying of a certain character but also cutting of ties which got me down. I know this sounds sad but last week all i had was harry potter and i reeeeeally got into it, being home alone. OK i admit I'm not a massive reader but i know that JK Rowling has some amazing talent, i thought the other books were engaging and enthralling but this... this just takes the biscuit. The reason i was so gutted when (OK lets stop beating about the bush) he finished with Ginny was because i knew how he felt about her, i went through every motion with him in the book and i could totally relate, it was amazing, i couldn't put that experience into words as she has.
PS I don't believe Snape is Evil!

God

Just finished a 1-11.30 at da hut wooo, which was washed down nicely with a nice easy conversation about the meaning of life. hmmm. thanks prez and rach. i must admit though i have totally 4gotten everything from the two years in which i studied religion and philosophy. eeeek. rach was like o yes epistemic distance i nodded smugly (i hope i pulled it off). im too tired right now to come up with an argument about god, so i'll get bac to ya.
Gonna go listen to u2 now.
O yer might b a bit late of me to mention it but london! absolute sicko's i feckin hate terrorists!!! (nealy wrote tourists then oops) thats how we got started on religion actually. but how d'u fight someone that doesnt care if u win? Prez started the conversation with the old chestnut of oooo whats the point in religion all it does is start wars! well answers on a postcard to....

On the QT

I really loooove question time. I often tell ppl i only watch to tv programmes, which is true, qt and 24, which is finished anyway. Anyway tonight i actually taped it. It was about Africa and since the marvellous Sir Bob brought it 21st century attention this year im hooked. i really want to make a difference or at least have my say on the subject.
Mairead and I often talk about how we're gonna spend all week in Ireland discussing world issues like on questiontime and we'll each have a topic to bring up. haha apparent john wants to be david. Amanda despairs. I'm sure she'll love it!
I think i want to talk about corrupt african dictators like Mugabe, the bastard. I'm wondering how i can be sitting in britain where i could be quite easily totally ignorant of the whole situation yet i am anxious to see something done about the poverty that his people are in and he is enforcing on them and yet he has the power to stop it and doesn't even though it is his country, his life blood and yet he constantly persecutes it. I can't comprehend such a mind or a heart.
